NBA: Most likely first time All-Stars from each team: Cleveland Cavaliers – Collin Sexton

If the Cleveland Cavaliers were even remotely good, Collin Sexton would already be a multiple-time All-Star. The one and done point guard out of Alabama dropped 20.8 points in his second season in the league before pouring in a career-high 24.3 this past year.

Sexton is terrific with the ball in his hands. He isn’t much of a distributor as illustrated by his career 3.4 assists per game but he can put the ball in the basket.

The Cavaliers are an ambiguous group. On some nights, they look terrific, case in point would be when they took down the ballyhooed Brooklyn Nets in a double-overtime game last season. On other nights, they look like the worst team in the league. To close out the year, the Cavaliers lost 13 of their last 14 games.

The Cavaliers haven’t come close to sniffing the playoffs since Sexton has been in town and we don’t expect that to change. That said, if they can simply stick around the play in game standings, that’ll give Sexton a solid shot to make his first All-Star Game.
