NBA: Most likely first time All-Stars from each team: Milwaukee Bucks – Donte DiVincenzo
It’s a stretch. A huge one, we admit it but it isn’t entirely impossible.
The Milwaukee Bucks this season will be led by Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton, and of course, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Considering that the Bucks are coming off a championship run, the expectations will be high for them this year.
With every top contender giving their team virtually a complete makeover, the Bucks mostly stood pat. But while they didn’t dive deep into the free-agent market, they will benefit from the return of Donte DiVincenzo.
Heading into now his fourth year, Divenchenzo has gotten better and better. His points per game have jumped from 4.9 in his rookie season to 9.2. Last year, he dropped a career-high 10.4 points per game. He also benefitted from having little to no attention on him as well, as he connected on a career-high 37.9% from downtown.
We all know that Giannis, Middleton and possibly even Holiday are All-Star Game locks but if Divenchenzo can take another leap this season and if the Bucks can come out and smoke the competition in the first half of the year, he could get the nod. Provided of course, he comes back to the team relatively soon from a torn ligament in his left ankle during the postseason.
