Crazy stats from the first two Pistons games: 4. Killian Hayes is shooting 9.1 percent
No, that’s not a typo. Killian Hayes is indeed shooting 9.1 percent from the floor. He has scored two points in two games and has connected on one of his 11 field goal attempts thus far. The Pistons need his playmaking and he only has a total of five assists, but the shooting is what really jumps a mile off the page.

Surely things can only go up from here, but for a poor shooting guard, this is not at all an encouraging start from the second-year man.

Crazy stats from the first two Pistons games: 3. Offensive rating of 75.1 for Killian Hayes

The Pistons have displayed a putrid offense so far, and the numbers bear that out. When Killian Hayes is on the floor, they’re scoring just 75.1 points per 100 possessions. If you’re looking for a historical comparison for this number, you can stop. There’s nothing even close over the course of a full season.

Luckily enough, this isn’t a full season. However, Hayes has played 40 minutes over these two games. That’s a tiny sample, but it’s not nothing. However, it’s also worth remembering that the Pistons only scored 100.6 points per 100 possessions last season when Hayes played, a rate that would have been 2.2 points worse than the 30th-place offense.
