Odds of every NBA team winning 2021-22 title: Milwaukee Bucks +800

It’s pretty difficult to say that winning an NBA title is a fortuitous accomplishment but in the case of the Milwaukee Bucks, that has been the ongoing assumption.

The road to winning their first title in several decades was a bit on the thin side. The Bucks ran through an overmatched Miami Heat team in round one of the playoffs. They then followed that up by eking by an extremely hobbled Brooklyn Nets squad. The Bucks took care of business against a surprisingly good Atlanta Hawks team but even they were hobbled down the stretch. The Phoenix Suns were a good team in the NBA Finals but no one was expecting them to make it that far in the first place.

Things may have come a bit easier than normal, but the Bucks have everything they need to win it all over again this year. We all know about Giannis Antetokounmpo. He has two MVPs sitting on his mantle and a ridiculous amount of accolades to match. Khris Middleton is a bonafide All-Star caliber player and the surrounding pieces around them have always been solid. But the one name that took them over the top last season was Jrue Holiday.

The former one-time All-Star may have been a bit hit or miss at times, but overall, he was a huge upgrade over Eric Bledsoe. In 23 playoff games, Holiday dropped 17.3 points a night to go along with 8.7 assists. He’s the perfect third scorer and primary playmaker for the Bucks.

The road to a championship will be considerably tougher this year but the Bucks can absolutely pull it off again. And, to give bettors even more confidence, they gave the Brooklyn Nets an absolute beatdown in game one to open the season.
