Odds of every NBA team winning 2021-22 title: Dallas Mavericks +3000

Zion Williamson is a bright young star. So is Jayson Tatum. But none of those players, or any other up and comer, is as good as Luka Doncic. Simply put, the Dallas Mavericks have a player who can win league MVP honors just about every year.

But just because the Mavericks have arguably the best player in the NBA in the near future, that doesn’t mean it’ll equate to a championship this season. The Mavericks have a ton of holes that need to be filled. Outside of Luka, they don’t have a reliable second option. And yes, we’re well aware that Kristaps Porzingis is on the roster but he’s yet to show that he can stay healthy and carry a larger offensive burden for a protracted amount of time.

Other players on the squad such as Tim Hardaway Jr. and Jalen Brunson, while really good in their own right, aren’t putting this squad over the top. It may seem tempting to throw a few bucks on the Mavericks and see where the chips fall due to how great Luka can be on a nightly basis but if you value your money, you should steer clear of the Dallas Mavericks.
