Odds of every NBA team winning 2021-22 title: Portland Trail Blazers +6000

You gotta feel bad for Damien Lillard in a way.

In today’s NBA, when the tough get going, players tend to bounce from their situation. They’ll scour the landscape and choose the ideal location to stack the deck to make winning a whole lot easier. Not Lillard.

For years on end, he battled with the Portland Trail Blazers as they attempted to make championship runs. To their credit, the Blazers have always been in the postseason mix and we expect them to do so again this year.

In our opinion, the combination of Lillard and CJ McCollum is the best tandem in the league. Simply put, they can score with the best of them. But they need more. Jusuf Nurkic hasn’t given them enough over the years in terms of production and at some point during the season, he’ll miss a huge chunk of it due to injury. The additions of Norman Powell and Larry Nance Jr. will help, but not to the extent of getting the Blazers towards the top of the championship mountain.

Lillard is going to battle, it’s what he always does. But the Blazers aren’t going to win a title this year. Don’t fall for the trap bettors. Stay far away.
