Odds of every NBA team winning 2021-22 title: Indiana Pacers +7500

Outside of swinging a humongous trade for a superstar player, the Indiana Pacers aren’t going to be in the championship mix this upcoming season.

Overall, they have a pretty interesting group. Everything starts and stops with Domantas Sabonis. The Serbian big man has been named to the past two All-Star teams and has one of the most well rounded games in the entire league. If a contender were to get their hands on him, he can easily get them over the championship hump. But, as the centerpiece to a team with less than stellar title dreams, Sabonis isn’t going to lead them to the promised land.

Essentially, it’s a tale of two different teams. The Pacers ranked in the top seven offensively last season but bottomed out defensively, checking in at number 26. They can score with the best of them but can’t play defense to save their lives. Of course, things should be different this year with Myles Turner completely healthy. After all, he’s routinely been amongst the league’s best shot blockers.

Still, even if they can figure things out on the gritty side of the floor, this team isn’t even going to make a postseason appearance this year.
