Odds of every NBA team winning 2021-22 title: Toronto Raptors +10000

The 2019 NBA title that the Toronto Raptors won was a bit of an anomaly. Kawhi Leonard is long gone. So is Kyle Lowry.

For the better part of the past decade, the Raptors have grabbed one of the top spots in the Eastern Conference and made deep playoff runs as a result. Yet, beginning just last year, everything changed. No longer were the Raptors considered an Eastern Conference powerhouse. Instead, they were treated as doormats, consistently walked all over, and beaten down for most of the year.

It may have been a down year and Lowry might be repping Miami Heat colors now but there’s still plenty to like about the Raptors. Fred VanVleet was a borderline All-Star last season, Pascal Siakam still has a ton of potential, and players such as OG Anunoby and Chris Boucher are only getting better. In terms of making a playoff spot this year, the Raptors have a solid chance at doing so but winning it all? They have no shot at pulling that off.

The Raptors are talented, Nick Nurse is brilliant on the sidelines and they have arguably the best fanbase in the entire NBA but they just don’t have the top-tier talent to compete with the best of the best on a nightly basis.
