The Miami Heat had one of the best offseasons in the entire league, adding some quality pieces who are going to help their two-way play. They added Kyle Lowry in a sign and trade with the Toronto Raptors which cost them Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa.

They also landed Markieff Morris and P.J. Tucker in an effort to solidify their defense. Last season the Heat were bundled out of the playoffs by the eventual champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, in the first round due to a lack of defense.

With their offseason signings, bringing back the sharpshooting Duncan Robinson and extending their superstar Jimmy Butler the Heat are in a good place. They have one of the best coaches in the business in Eric Spoelstra and are primed to make a big run at the championship. Now let’s take a look at who the statistical leaders are going to be.

Miami Heat statistical leaders – Scoring: Jimmy Butler
Predicted Average: 21.0

Butler led the Heat in scoring last season averaging 21.5 points per game. The Heat looked like a better squad when he was running the offense. He was not as effective when he was playing off the ball as his offense relies on getting others involved to free up his scoring later in the game.

The addition of Lowry means that Butler is going to have less time with the ball in his hands. However, is such a talented player that he is going to get his numbers in a way that benefits the team. With the addition of Lowry, Butler’s average will go down slightly.
