Reasons the door is open for the Milwaukee Bucks repeat: 1. The Bucks are just that good

The injuries will always be brought up when the Bucks’ title is mentioned, but those happen every season. Almost always in the favor of eventual champions, for that matter.

These fortunate events shouldn’t diminish their accomplishment in the least, and that’s because this is a fantastic team that is an absolute world-beater. The Bucks struggled during the regular season as they worked on enhancing their defensive tactics, but those growing pains are out of the way now.

Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton were alternately great and awful in the playoffs, coming through when it mattered most, but if they had been at least half-decent, they wouldn’t have needed so many clutch performances. More consistency from this duo could be the ultimate difference between success and failure in the playoffs this season, but hopefully, the postseason monkey is finally off their backs.

This duo is the key because you know what you’re getting from Giannis every time out. Unfortunately, in spite of the fact that they’re both excellent, they are not historically reliable on the offensive end. Fixing that would go a long way in the Milwaukee Bucks’ quest to repeat.
