Chicago Bulls steps to the NBA playoffs: 1. Take care of the basketball

No matter how much pundits discuss the way the game of basketball, there are some things that will forever remain unchanged. The team that wins the rebounding battle will normally win the game. If a team has a dismal night from the free-throw line, they are most likely to lose. And last but not least, if a team turns over the basketball at a high rate they’re chances of winning are slim to none.

Last season the Chicago Bulls ranked 27th out of 30 teams in their ability to take care of the basketball. Simply put, it is impossible to win games that way. While the Bulls have capable scorers and high-flying athletes, they must still play smart, efficient basketball if they want to be a playoff team. If they don’t take care of the ball they will have the unfortunate distinction of being the most talented team in next year’s draft lottery.

The Chicago Bulls have a proven head coach, an underrated All-Star Center, a top-10 scorer and an underrated bench. If they get out in transition, maximize their potential, and take care of the ball, they will find themselves in next season’s playoffs. Fans in the Windy City are anticipating the restoration of their proud basketball franchise. All indicators are this year’s team is finally up for the challenge.
