Chicago Bulls free agency signing No. 6: DeMar DeRozan

The Bulls pulled off the coup of the offseason when they managed to land DeMar DeRozan from the San Antonio Spurs. They needed a second scorer to take some of the pressure off LaVine, particularly at the end of a game, which is where DeRozan shines.

DeRozan is an elite scorer who has owned the mid-range for most of his career. However, his abilities do not just stop there offensively. DeRozan is also a tremendous finisher at the rim, and as mentioned before, he is an above-average clutch shooter.

On top of that, DeRozan is a good creator, possessing the ability to pass himself open. This makes him incredibly difficult to defend. He is also very efficient, only taking 15.1 attempts per game to average 21.6 points per game last season.

He is also proficient at getting to the line so the scoring droughts which impacted the Bulls for the past few seasons should not occur. This will take the pressure off the offense as the scoreboard will continue to move whenever DeRozan is on the court.

Grade: A+
