Predicting the stat leaders for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2020-21

The Cleveland Cavaliers will finish towards the bottom of the bottom in terms of their overall seeding but they’ll have a number of players take a few leaps forward statistically.

Cavaliers points per game leader: Collin Sexton

The days of Kevin Love leading his bottom feeding ball clubs in both points and rebounds are long gone. According to numerous reports, Love is on the verge of spending the rest of his time in Cleveland on the bench. The move will ultimately help further the younger guys development.

With Love no longer the primary scoring option, Collin Sexton has stepped up in a major way. In his third year in the league, Sexton was one of the best scorers in the game, pouring in 24.3 a night. He’ll have an opportunity to pick up exactly where he left off once the season kicks off.

Cavaliers rebounds per game leader: Jarrett Allen

The rebounding leader for the Cavaliers will undoubtedly be Jarrett Allen. With the big man totaling 9.9 rebounds a night last season and fresh off signing a $100 million contract extension, he’s going to be one of the league’s best glass cleaners.

If he isn’t, he should be considered a major disaster since he offers little to nothing on the offensive end of the ball.

Cavaliers assists per game leader: Darius Garland

The clear leader in assists per game is going to be point guard Darius Garland. The 6.1 he totaled last season may not be totally impressive but no one on the squad registered more than 4.5. Hopefully for Cleveland fans, Garland can push towards double digits in that department. He’ll ultimately need to if they want a chance of at least making the play in scenario this coming league year.
