Ranking the Brooklyn Nets starters: 4. Joe Harris

Joe Harris is one of the many things that make the Brooklyn Nets completely unfair on the offensive end. Harris is one of the best shooters in the NBA and can’t be stopped as an accompaniment to James Harden and Kyrie Irving’s playmaking. He shot a staggering 47.5 percent from 3-point range last season, and is shooting 45.8 percent from long range over his last three seasons. That’s a sample of 1,236 attempts.

Joe Harris could function as a wingman for just about any playmakers in the NBA, but he’s perfectly suited to play alongside this elite unit of offensive geniuses in Brooklyn.

Ranking the Brooklyn Nets starters: 5. Blake Griffin

Time will tell if Blake Griffin actually ends up being the fifth starter for the Nets, but he’s been solid as a starter in Brooklyn. His defense has been better than expected, especially in the NBA playoffs last season, and his playmaking ability is something that hasn’t diminished along with his physical gifts.

Griffin is a former star who can adapt to his environment and abilities better than almost any in history. When his athleticism waned, he became a volume 3-point shooter with the Pistons. He’s struggled to find his way since then, but in Brooklyn, he’s found the perfect situation where he can slot in as the fifth starter and simply be the best Blake Griffin he can be.
