Super teams have become the new must-have thing in the NBA. While fans are always giddy when their squad suddenly acquires a great player or a boatload of them to form a big 3, there’s something about having that talent grow up in front of you.

Before the 3-point evolution, the raucous crowds, the shiny championship rings, and the victory parades, the Golden State Warriors were a moribund franchise that was always the laughing stock of the league. Things began turning around once they drafted Stephen Curry in 2009, it got even better once Klay Thompson joined him two years later. But the moment Draymond Green got onboard in 2013, a dynasty ensued.

Klay, Steph, and Draymond led the Warriors to seven straight postseason appearances, five consecutive Finals appearances, and three titles. Of course, that comes with a bit of a caveat, as Kevin Durant’s arrival in 2017 took them from great to simply unfair. But still, it was the original trio that led this franchise to success and permanently etched their names as one of the best big 3s in NBA history.
