Philadelphia 76ers NBA free agency signing No. 3: Re-signing Danny Green

Danny Green helped the 76ers shed the contract that belonged to Al Horford. This was crucial for the team as Hordford did not fit with what the 76ers were trying to achieve. However, Green is a player in his own right and he bought all of his leadership and skillset to the franchise.

Green is a three-time NBA champion with three different teams. He has been a crucial member of each of these championships and he brings all of that knowledge of how to win a title to Philadelphia. It is crucial that he is able to impart that knowledge to the rest of the team.

Green does not offer huge levels of scoring. He has only averaged 10.0 points per game three times in his 12-year career. However, his ability to space the floor is a crucial part of his game. Defenses must respect his shot considering that he is a career 40.1 percent shooter from beyond the arc.

Then there is the other side of the ball which is where Green has an even bigger impact on a game. As mentioned earlier, when he went off with injury the Hawks the series turned around. His defense was crucial for the team as he can defend three different positions with ease.
