The draft has come and gone along with free agency and summer league, now all eyes turn to the 2021 NBA regular season. Hopes are high in Houston as the new-look Houston Rockets are ready to take on the world.

The Houston Rockets have a lot of young talent on their roster. Here are Rockets who could win awards in the 2021-2022 season.

Ever since the departure of Rockets legend, James Harden, the future looked bleak in Space City. After an absolutely stellar draft and offseason, general manager Rafael Stone has made this team look so much better. Now the Rockets, probably, don’t have an MVP caliber player with Harden being gone but there’s so much more potential throughout the rest of the locker room.

The Most Valuable Player always gets the headlines and people tend to shy away from the Defensive Player of the Year, the Rookie of the Year, the Coach of the Year, Most Improved Player and Sixth Man of the Year.

The Rockets have a good mix of young talent and veteran players on the team. Now this team might not go out and win 40+ games but it’s guaranteed that they’ll be a ton of fun to watch. This young core has seemingly limitless potential and a bunch of guys that could realistically run the league later on in their careers. They have the chance to make an impact right away and start their trophy collection early on while they also help bring the Houston Rockets back to relevance.

Note: These are not predictions for who will actually win the awards for the 2021-2022 season. These selections are for the Rockets players who I think are most likely to win an award, these are obviously not guaranteed and there’s a good chance that none of them do.
