Boston Celtics: Predicting start and end NBA 2K player ratings
By Lance Legere
Reasons for Boston Celtics player rating movement
Brad Stevens did his best to add experience and versatility to this roster while locking up Marcus Smart and Robert Williams for the foreseeable future to put alongside Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.
We saw Tatum and Brown rank as one of the best scoring duos in a season that was filled with ups and downs and not a lot of consistency out on the floor together.
Expect Tatum to make the full superstar leap this season. Just his scoring alone puts him in the upper half of the league, this year will be about coming a more complete player on both ends of the floor.

Jaylen Brown has improved every single season, and this upcoming one will be no different. An all-star appearance should be the bare minimum this season for Brown as he looks to make an even bigger name for himself.
Second-year players Aaron Nesmith and Payton Pritchard should certainly make a sizeable jump based on the more defined roles they will play for the Celtics this season.
As for the rest of the roster, it is all about opportunity. A healthy Marcus Smart should certainly see his rating increase as the full-time starting point guard along with Robert Williams who has solidified himself as a core piece of this roster.
Al Horford could either prove to have a lot left in the tank like many think he does, or his age could catch up to him.
Josh Richardson and Dennis Schroder will certainly be featured enough to showcase their talents and help this team contribute, especially Schroder, who looks to find himself in a sixth-man role for this group, something he will strive in.
The Celtics will be a fun team to watch and a fun one to play with on the sticks if all goes according to plan this season.
