NBA: Ranking the 30 best NBA Championship Rings
Ranking the best championship rings in NBA history: 25. Chicago Bulls, 1991
Winning was thought to be virtually impossible for Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls. After watching the former North Carolina star dominate from an individual standpoint, the overwhelming thought process was that his style of play simply wasn’t going to get it done.
Those words, however, proved to be untrue as Jordan finally broke through in 1991 against the Los Angeles Lakers. After losing the first game of the series, the Bulls turned things around to win four straight. Although Jordan had led the team in scoring for the first four games, it was Scottie Pippen who showed out as he scored 32 points and hauled in 13 rebounds. Jordan wasn’t too bad himself, scoring 30 points on 52.2% from the field. In return, Jordan and his Bulls squad were given smooth rings at the start of the following season.
Chicago’s first NBA ring looked mean. On the outside, the ring was fully decked out with small diamonds. In the back of the centerpiece was all black while a golden Bull was placed firmly in the middle. It was intimidating, different, and flat-out cool.
