Ranking the best championship rings in NBA history: 15. San Antonio Spurs, 2007

It was a beautifully large ring that the San Antonio Spurs were presented with after taking home the NBA title in the 2006-07 season.

Standing on the other side of the court and determined to stop them from winning it all, was a 22-year-old LeBron James. At the time, the NBA world appeared to be his for the taking. But just when the horns began blaring as they declared his coronation, good ole reliable San Antonio would hear none of it.

On the back of the speedy Tony Parker, the Spurs ran circles around the Cavaliers and subsequently placed the clamps on James in the process. As the chapter turned on the season, the Spurs were handed the championship rings they worked so hard for. It wasn’t completely decked out in diamonds but there was enough to make their point.

A total of 34 diamonds were on the edges, 17 on each side, were placed around the ring. The Spurs logo was covered in diamonds as well.

It may have been their fourth ring in nine seasons but the Spurs weren’t quite done with winning more titles.
