Ranking the best championship rings in NBA history: 16. Miami Heat, 2013
While we were somewhat underwhelmed with the Miami Heat franchise for their taste in rings for the 2012 season, they took things up a notch in 2013.
After denying Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and the Spurs franchise a championship ring during the 2013 NBA Finals, LeBron James and Dwayne successfully carried the Heat to their second straight title.
For their efforts, each Heat player was given a championship ring that was flooded with 242 diamonds. Like always, their championship ring paid clear homage to winning back to back.
On the front of each ring were two large Larry O’Brien trophy trophies with the word “Heat” emblazoned across the front in diamonds. All around those rings were countless more diamonds with a nicely placed black background.
On one side of their rings, it illustrated three total Championship trophies which symbolized how many times the franchise won it all. It wasn’t one of the most eye-catching rings but it was certainly a step up from what we’ve seen them dish out in years past.
