Ranking the best championship rings in NBA history: 18. Chicago Bulls, 1993

Championship number three for Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls was a special one.

Like always, Jordan was left speechless when the 1993 NBA MVP award was given to someone other than himself. So when arguably the best player in league history was forced to watch Charles Barkley snag the MVP award, Jordan made sure he remembered it.

The Bulls took care of business in the first two games before losing the third. They would eventually finish off the Phoenix Suns in six games. In the process, Jordan dominated, he averaged 41 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

Now, with their third straight NBA title, the Bulls essentially ushered in the first championship ring that was encrusted with diamonds. The background piece of their championship ring was fully decorated with diamonds. In the center, was a red ruby carved in the shape of a Bull. The sides weren’t too spectacular but they did add a very cool touch as the player’s name, jersey number and a picture of the Larry O’Brien Trophy followed by their playoff record was just beneath it.

With the Bulls showing that more than just a few diamonds belonged in an NBA Championship ring, they certainly deserve a lofty spot on our list.
