Milwaukee Bucks: Why Grayson Allen will be a great addition for MIL
Grayson Allen will be a great fit for the Milwaukee Bucks in the upcoming NBA season.
The Milwaukee Bucks just won the second championship in franchise history this past July. As evidenced by “The Deer District” the City of Milwaukee loves basketball and has a raucous crowd to support the home team whenever they play at Fiserv Forum. However, professional sports is a business and championship euphoria only lasts a matter of months. Naturally, the question pundits will ask is “can they do it again?”
The Milwaukee Bucks recently acquired Grayson Allen in a trade with the Memphis Grizzlies. He will be a key contributor to the team next season.
The team is already set to look somewhat different next season than they did last year. PJ Tucker played a key role in the team’s postseason run but wasted little time in accepting an off-season offer to join the Miami Heat as a free agent. Swingman Bryn Forbes decided to return to the San Antonio Spurs organization. With key contributors no longer on the roster, it will be important for Coach Mike Budenholzer to identify new players who can fill the void.
On August 6th, the Milwaukee Bucks acquired Grayson Allen from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Sam Merrill and two future second-round picks. Let’s take a closer look at why Allen will play an important role in Milwaukee’s pursuit of a second consecutive championship next season.
