Chicago Bulls NBA free agency grades: Alex Caruso Signing

The second move the Chicago Bulls made landed them former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Alex Caruso. The Bulls signed him to a four-year $37 million contract.

With this much money being spent on him, it is clear that in Chicago, Caruso will be playing a much bigger role than he ever did on the Lakers. This is something that Bulls fans should be very excited about.

He has never really gotten the chance to shine while in Los Angeles, however, while with them he played his role perfectly. Chicago will never have to worry about Caruso getting out of line and taking shots away from star players.

His true value will come on the defensive end. Caruso may end up being the best defender on the Bulls’ roster this coming season. He can lock down ball handlers on the perimeter and is best described as a pest on the defensive end.

Caruso is never scared to put his body on the line and make hustle plays that get his teammates and the crowd into the game. He will quickly become a fan favorite in Chicago and for good reason.

Yet again, the addition of Caruso is great for the Bulls, however, they gave him a very generous contract.
