Chicago Bulls: 3 things Lonzo Ball brings to the Bulls
By Zane Harris
What Lonzo Ball brings the Chicago Bulls: 1. Playmaking
Coming into the league, Lonzo Ball was touted as the second coming of Jason Kidd. Up to this point, he has fallen a bit short of this extremely high bar, however, he shows flashes of the former New Jersey Nets guard.
Ball has averaged a very respectable 6.4 assists per game through his four year career. His incredible basketball IQ and court vision makes him an incredible passer who can create for others.
He is without a doubt a pass first player and this is something the Bulls desperately needed to add. They currently have one of the best scorers in the league, in LaVine, however, he at times can have tunnel vision and not move the ball.
When he was first added to the Bulls and there were little to no scoring options around him, this is something that was encouraged. However, with more scoring options on the team the Bulls now need someone who can move the ball around and create shots for others.
As the third option in New Orleans last season, Ball suffered a career low in assists with 5.7 per game. However, if he plays his expected role as floor general and with the scoring options he has around him, there is a chance that he sets a career high in the statistic this season.
