Battling through injuries, the Los Angeles Lakers found themselves at home earlier than expected after being knocked out in the first round of the playoffs this year. Among the many rumors that will likely float to the surface as they look to undergo changes in roster personnel will be their never-ending pursuit of Rose.

The Lakers have been trying to get their hands on Rose for the past two seasons through the trade market, but to no avail. With the 32-year-old now set to enter free agency, Los Angeles will likely be among the top teams that will make a strong run at him. Despite recently trading for Russell Westbrook, who will certainly start, the Lakers could look to shore up their bench depth by targeting another former MVP in Rose.

Linking up with former teammate LeBron James once again and joining forces with Anthony Davis could be an enticing option for Rose, particularly if winning a title is his top priority. The Lakers were derailed by injuries this past season in their pursuit to repeat as champions, but with a long offseason ahead, they will certainly be well-rested and right back in the thick of title contention next year with a reloaded roster.
