2021 NBA Free Agency: 5 teams that should target Derrick Rose

The Milwaukee Bucks should pursue Derrick Rose in 2021 NBA free agency
Looking to defend their title as world champions next season, the Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to retool their roster this offseason in free agency. One such player they could look to add would be Rose, and they reportedly had some interest in acquiring him previously.
According to Yahoo! Sports’ Vincent Goodwill, the Bucks were in the running to acquire Rose before he was traded to the Knicks earlier in the year. The idea of trading for Rose made sense as Milwaukee was hunting for a floor general to play behind Jrue Holiday, and the former MVP would have bolstered the team’s chances further, although they ultimately did not need it.
However, they will be back in the market looking for a new backup point guard this offseason. The front office signed Jeff Teague off the buyout market before the playoffs, and the fit never quite panned out. He will also become a free agent, and replacing Teague with Rose would be an immediate upgrade for the Bucks. The guard would provide a solid amount of production in the second unit that could help this team in their quest to repeat.
Although Rose’s style of play could raise some questions about his fit alongside reigning Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo due to the lack of spacing, adding Rose would improve this team without question. They were reportedly interested in him just a few months ago, and despite their title-winning season, that interest could still very well be there now.
