73. . Wing. Denver Nuggets. Joshua Primo. 26. player

Figuring out the Denver Nuggets draft plan tends to feel like an exercise in futility. Settling on high potential always seems like a safe bet, so going with one of the youngest players in the draft checks that box. Joshua Primo is an elite shooter and does not force any shots. He is an absolute worker, which will immediately endear himself to coach Michael Malone. With Jamal Murray out of the lineup for an extended period of time adding another guard is a smart idea.

147. . Big. Brooklyn Nets. Day'Ron Sharpe. 27. player

For the rest of the teams in the draft, calling about trades still makes the most sense to add to their core immediately. In lieu of projecting trades, filling a specific need is the next logical step. Day’Ron Sharpe does that for the Brooklyn Nets. He is a quick defender and rim runner. Adding more options to minimize how often DeAndre Jordan touches the court is always a good idea.

player. 93. . Guard. Philadelphia 76ers. Cameron Thomas. 28

Cameron Thomas is a go-to scorer. He is always in attack mode, driving to the rim with ease and causing havoc for opposing defenses. He needs to look to pass a little more often but after this season ended with a guard hesitant to shoot Thomas would be a welcome change of pace. He has solid defensive potential but needs to lock in. Luckily there is plenty of defense on the roster to cover for him while he learns.

player. 66. . Guard. Phoenix Suns. Sharife Cooper. 29

The Phoenix Suns should be considering either a backup guard in case they are unable to retain Cam Payne or a reserve big, as that was a weakness that was exposed in the NBA Finals. Sharife Cooper is certainly the former, one of must dazzling passers in the entire draft class. His 3-point shot needs work but the stroke is clearly there. There is no better mentor for him than Chris Paul, should he return.

player. 118. . Guard. Utah Jazz. Miles McBride. 30

As the draft draws near, the Utah Jazz are rumored to be willing to move this pick alongside one of their veteran reserves to alleviate some luxury tax issues. Should the pick remain, Miles McBride would fit right in. He is a perfect defensive guard who never stops threatening the ball. While he would not be the wing defender they sorely need he would at least be able to check the guard positions. Add in his 41.4 percent mark from beyond the arc and the potential is undeniable.
