Perfect Chicago Bulls NBA Drafts: 2019 Draft

The 2018-2019 season did not go much better for the Bulls. Still stuck in the midst of a rebuild, the only bright spot was Zach LaVine emerging as an All-Star caliber player.

He led the team with 23.7 points per game. Markkanen had a very respectable second season. Averaging 18.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.

However, the team as a whole was one of the worst in the league. They had a record of 22-60, the 29th ranked offensive rating, and the 25th ranked defensive rating.

While it is impossible to know how the team would have ranked if they had the redraft team, it is safe to say that it would be much better than how they faired in real life.

Coby White

With the seventh overall pick, the Bulls selected Coby White. This was the correct pick, especially when looking at the composition of the Bulls’ roster at the time.

It would have made no sense to pick a big when they had drafted Wendell Carter Jr. and Lauri Markkanen with their two previous lottery picks.

In terms of guards, White has performed the best compared to those drafted relatively close to him. White is a very quality starter for the Bulls and they got this pick perfect.

Eric Paschall

Daniel Gafford was originally picked with the 22nd pick. However, in the redraft, the Bulls will select Eric Paschall.

Both players fall into the power forward or center position. Paschall bests Gafford in points, rebounds, and assists. As a result of this, it is clear that he is the better pick.

Paschall is a very versatile player who is capable of playing a small-ball center if there is a need for it.
