The Phoenix Suns had one of the most amazing seasons in the history of their franchise. It started last season in the bubble where they went undefeated in all eight games. Last season was important for the Suns because it gave them confidence in themselves. They took on some of the best teams in the association and won.

Then the OKC Thunder blew up their roster in the offseason and the Suns benefitted in a big way. They traded Ty Jerome, Jalen Lecque, Kelly Oubre Jr., Ricky Rubio, and a 2022 1st round draft pick to the Thunder for Chris Paul and Abdel Nader.

This was not the only move that they made of significance over the offseason. The Suns also signed Jae Crowder, a veteran from last season’s Miami Heat team that played in the Finals. These two moves were a massive part of the reason the Suns were so good this season.

The Phoenix Suns almost had a season of almosts.

Any time that a team reaches the NBA Finals it is safe to say that they have had a good season. However, it was a season where they just fell a little short. The Suns were in contention for the best record in the entire league but fell a single game short of taking that honor.

The Suns then came out of the Western Conference, losing only four games in the postseason. Unfortunately for them, the Milwaukee Bucks were too good for them, winning the championship in six games. The Suns fell two games short of their goal.

With all that in mind, let’s take a look at the three offseason moves the Phoenix Suns need to make.
