2018 NBA draft: Re-grading Pick Number 11. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: A+

No matter which team made this pick or where he is today, getting a player as talented as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with the 11th overall pick has changed the direction of two franchises to date. The LA Clippers brought in two lottery picks and one of them turned into a potential future All-Star. He would have made the team this season had the Oklahoma City Thunder been more interested in winning games.

Gilgeous-Alexander took a major step forward in his second season, getting a chance to mentor under Chris Paul and be the third guard on the most efficient offensive unit in the league. As the lead guard, this season his offensive development has changed the course of his career.

In his third year, he averaged 23.7 points, 5.9 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game. He shot 50.8 percent from the field and 41.8 percent from distance. He was so exceptional that the Thunder shut him down so that they did not win too many games. Gilgeous-Alexander is the next most likely All-Star out of this class that already has two. He is electric to watch and will still have an unreal usage rate this coming season for a still-tanking Thunder squad. The sky is the limit for his production.
