Minnesota Timberwolves: 4 familiar faces in the Big3 league

Former Minnesota Timberwolves players in Big3: 1. Brandon Rush
Brandon Rush was drafted into the NBA back in 2008 by Minnesota Timberwolves division rival Portland Trail Blazers. Rush was the 13th overall selection out of the University of Kansas and was traded to the Indiana Pacers on the day of the draft.
Even after his decorated career with the Jayhawks, he fell in the draft because of his injury history. Rush spent three seasons in Indiana and never found his footing. He was traded to the Golden State Warriors and once again got hurt in his second season in the Bay Area. The beginning of the end had begun for Rush. He was traded to the Utah Jazz and then left in free agency to rejoin the Warriors. Rush won a championship in 2015 and played out the remainder of his contract.
In the 2016 offseason, he signed with the Minnesota Timberwolves and appeared in 47 games for the team. Even though he started 33 games for the Timberwolves, he still wasn’t able to get anything going. He only averaged 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1 assist in a season where the team went 31-51, finishing as the 13th seed in the Western Conference.
Rush played overseas in Greece for the Greek Basket League team Larisa and now plays in the Big3 league for the Aliens. He leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 15.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. Even with Rush’s high-level play, the Aliens remain at the bottom of the Big3 standings with an 0-3 record.
