Milwaukee Bucks: 5 realistic targets with the No. 31 pick – Joshua Primo

Lastly, the Milwaukee Bucks could target Canadian freshman Josh Primo out of Alabama with the No. 31 pick in the draft. At 6’5″ with a 6’9″ wingspan, Primo is a physical shooting guard that’s quickly rising up draft boards.

He’s another one of those young guard prospects with exciting potential as an 18-year-old talent, especially offensively. During one year on a very successful, deep Alabama team, Primo averaged 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.6 steals on 43.1 percent field goals and 38.1 percent from behind the arc.

He’s gone under the radar for the most part until now. Due to his smooth shooting mechanics and substantial range, Primo could easily surface as a first-round pick.

Despite his immaturity and lack of physicality, Primo could evolve into a dangerous offensive weapon that’s only going to keep growing in all aspects, defensively too. At the moment, he could earn minutes on any team just based on his threat as a catch-and-shoot or mobile 3-point shooter.

Primo showcased his promising skill set at the NBA Combine and has been brought in for various workouts from teams drafting all over the place. It’ll be interesting to see where he lands. It’s more likely that he’ll end up being selected in the first-round, but the Bucks should certainly consider drafting him if still available.

Even though the Milwaukee Bucks are title-contenders, they should have no problem taking a flyer on a younger player to develop into an eventual permanent role player that could grow into something more. Josh Primo checks that box.
