Destinations for Victor Oladipo in NBA free agency: 1. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks were 2nd in pick and rolls during the regular season, averaging 24.7 per game. The Atlanta Hawks shot 43 percent from the field on pick and rolls in 18.9 shots per game. The field goal percentage allowed them to create 23 points per game.

Most of the Hawks’ pick and roll production came from Trae Young and Lou Williams, as they accounted for 85.8 percent of the possessions, averaging 21.2 per game. They combined to shoot 40.8 percent from the field on these possessions in 7.9 shots per game.

The field goal percentage allowed them to average 19.7 points per game in pick and rolls: 85.6 percent of the team’s total production. Unfortunately, Williams is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

If the Hawks can’t agree on a deal with Williams, Oladipo would be an excellent fallback option for them due to his ability to thrive in the pick and roll. Furthermore, the Hawks could afford to wait for Oladipo to get healthy as they are likely to make the playoffs next year, after an Eastern Conference final appearance this postseason.
