Boston Celtics: 3 picks from the 2010s we wish would have worked out

Boston Celtics draft picks we wish had worked out: 2. Terry Rozier
Terry Rozier was drafted by the Celtics with the 16th pick of the 2015 draft. He played a huge part in the Eastern Conference Finals run that the Celtics made in the 2018 season.
Despite having Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward sidelined with injuries, players like Rozier really stepped up and made names for themselves taking a LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers team to seven games.
The closeout game even forced James to take the court for 48 minutes just to defeat the Celtics in an 87-79 stalemate.
In the next season, Rozier was given a much lesser role once Irving made his way back into the lineup. The following offseason, Rozier was traded to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Kemba Walker and Irving walked in free agency to join the Brooklyn Nets.
This offseason, the Celtics traded Walker to the OKC Thunder and are now missing a point guard that fits the window of their core. Terry Rozier would have been the perfect player to fill this role, however, the Celtics chose big names like Irving and Walker over the player that they drafted and developed.
There is no guarantee that he would have maintained the level of play that he displayed in the Eastern Conference Finals run, however, he was never given the opportunity by Boston to do so.
It would have been great to see what Rozier would have turned into if the Celtics would have chosen to trade Irving after the 2018 season.
