The Brooklyn Nets took part in one of the most lopsided trades in the history of the NBA.

In 2013, the Nets made a trade with the Boston Celtics that would set their franchise back for years and they are just now recovering from that one deal.

In this trade, the Celtics sent an over-the-hill Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce along with Jason Terry to the Nets in return for Gerald Wallace, Kris Humphries, Tornike Shengelia, Reggie Evans, Keith Bogans, and unprotected first-round picks in 2014, 2016, and 2018, along with a pick swap in 2017.

As a result of this disaster of a deal, the Nets did not get the chance to make too many draft selections through the 2010s.

However, Brooklyn still would wind up with one of the most talented rosters in the entire league by the end of the decade.

Through the 2010s, the Brooklyn Nets went through a stretch of being one of the worst teams in the NBA. There were some picks we wish would have worked out.

Now, the Nets are headlined by a big three of Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant.

Next season, when this trio is more healthy and comfortable taking the court and playing together, it will be truly exciting to see what they can achieve together.

Despite this, with the 2021 NBA draft coming up and the Nets not holding onto any lottery picks, it makes for the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane and look at some of the picks from the 2010s that we wish would have worked out for the Brooklyn Nets.

It is far too early to look at any drafts after 2019 as the 2020 class has only had a single season to prove themselves.

Lastly, this list simply goes by chronological order, there is no ranking system involved.
