NBA Draft: Pro comparisons for the top 30 prospects in 2021
2021 NBA Draft: 13. Moses Moody compares to Miles Bridges
Moses Moody is a big, strong physical player. Arkansas had a terrific season, they ended their year with a trip to the elite 8 and finished up with a 25-7 record.
Springboarding them into the spotlight was Moses Moody. Although he only has one year of experience under his belt his game bore an eerie resemblance to Charlotte Hornets forward, Miles Bridges. His time under the bright lights hasn’t been what many were expecting though.
During his first two seasons, he struggled to consistently deal with contact when he attacked the paint and his 3-point shot was seemingly broken. It wasn’t until this past season, where Bridges put it all together. He was on the verge of becoming a 50/40/90 guy as he connected on 50.3% from the field, 40% from distance and 86.7 from the charity stripe. All season long, Bridges has placed defenders on unwanted posters. And while Moody isn’t quite as athletic, he’s just as aggressive.
Moody’s overall shooting splits of 42.7/35.8/81.2 appear to need work. But, for some odd reason, when he played away from the confines of Arkansas, he was terrific. His shooting splits jump significantly to 47.5/39.6/94.4, more closely resembling Bridges and his recent play. While they may shoot the ball with opposite hands, both players are offensive-minded and attack the rim like few others.
