Golden State Warriors offseasons roster move No. 2: Guarantee Damion Lee

At 28 years old, Damion Lee is a decent age for the current Warriors team. He is a good option as Thompson’s backup of the bench. He averaged 6.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists. and 0.7 steals in 18.9 minutes per game.

His efficiency was impressive, going at 46.7 percent from the floor, 39.7 percent from beyond the arc, and 90.9 percent from the line. These are incredible numbers for a player to come off the bench. He does not have to take a game over, he just plays within the system, helping the team.

Lee has been with the Warriors for three seasons now and has always fitted in well. Last season, when the Warriors had so many injuries to their key players, Lee stepped up, averaging 12.7 points per game. This shows that he has the potential to score well for the Warriors.

However, the biggest benefit for the Warriors is that they only have to pay him $1.9 million next season, should they guarantee him. There is no reason for the Warriors not to guarantee this deal as they are going to find it hard to replace Lee’s production and efficiency on such a small salary who also has the ability to fit their system.
