Charlotte Hornets offseason roster move No. 3: Extend Miles Bridges

Having now finished his third NBA season, Miles Bridges has shown that he is a tremendous talent that the Hornets need to keep around. In those three years, Bridges has averaged 10.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.7 blocks in 26.6 minutes per game.

He has improved most aspects of his game every year that he has been in the league and this season was no different. His 50.3 field goal percentage was the best of his career. It is an impressive number considering he took 4.4 of his 9.4 field goals from beyond the arc where he made 40.0 percent of them.

Bridges has very few weaknesses on offense considering that last season he shot the ball from the line at an impressive 86.7 percent. This makes him an incredible complementary player for the stars on the Hornets team. He can space the floor, attack the hoop and convert at the line and does not require a huge amount of shots to make a difference.

If the Hornets extend Bridges then they are allowing him to continue to develop with Hayward and Ball which is going to give them the best chance to make a playoff run. The Hornets have the cap space in the 2022-23 season and by then Bridges could be worth even more.
