The Sacramento Kings had yet another season where they failed to make the playoffs. They last tasted postseason action when they lost in the first round of the 2006 playoffs. The problem is they have made a series of bad moves over that period where they have not advanced the team.

The latest one they made was during the 2020 offseason where they tried to make a sign and trade that sent Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Milwaukee Bucks. The problem was that they made this deal before they were allowed to start negotiating.

The Sacramento Kings had yet another season where they did not make the playoffs. Here are 5 roster moves they need to make this offseason.

They have the makings of a good roster with Buddy Hield, De’Aaron Fox, Harrison Barnes, and Tyrese Haliburton locked up on good-length deals. This offseason is going to be crucial for the Kings if they are going to make their way back to the postseason.

The Kings waived Jabari Parker and Mfiondu Kabengele at the deadline. They then traded Cory Joseph and two future second-round picks to the Detroit Pistons, receiving Delon Wright in return. Wright provided a much better offensive boost for the franchise which should help them next season.

They also traded a second-round pick to the Toronto Raptors for Terence Davis who also provided a boost for the King on offense. Another trade they made was Nemanja Bjelica to the Miami Heat, receiving Maurice Harkless and Chris Silva in return. The Kings waived Silva at the end of the regular season.

With all this in mind, let’s take a look at the five offseason roster moves the Sacramento Kings need to make.
