Best Game 7 performances in NBA Playoffs history: 12. LeBron James (2018)

  • 8 rebounds
  • 7 assists

Believe it or not, but an Indiana Pacers team that was led by Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner gave LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers all types of issues. With everything on the line in Game 7 of the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs, James realized that he was surrounded by players that simply weren’t going to get the job done.

While he could’ve sulked and attempted to play team ball as always, he decided to take matters into his own hands and destroy the Pacers singlehandedly. Defensively was where the Cavaliers had issues. Darren Collison looked like a semi All-Star as he dropped 23 points and Oladipo looked like an MVP candidate as he poured in 30 points, grabbed 12 boards and dished out six assists.

Those numbers, no matter how impressive, simply don’t stack up to what James did on the night. He dropped a calm 45 points on 16-25 shooting. Knocked in 66% of his 3 point attempts and still found a way to grab 8 boards and dish 7 dimes. The Cavaliers needed all of it as they barely scraped out a four-point win on their home court.
