It was as if Kawhi Leonard had something he wanted to prove.

Heading into the 2018-2019 season, everything was new. Leonard had just been traded halfway across the world to Toronto and everyone, including Leonard, knew it was just a pit stop before he got to his real destination. But hey, while he’s there, he figured he might as well win a championship.

Of all his memorable moments during that run, it was his Game 7 outing against the Philadelphia 76ers in the Eastern Conference Semis that stood out. Even with Jimmy Butler, who’s been a multiple-time All-Defensive team selection, guarding him, Leonard still went to work. He dropped 41 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and stole the ball three times. Leonard wasn’t efficient on the night, making only 16 of his 39 shot attempts and going 2-9 from 3-point land. Still, he more than made up for it at the end of the game.

The Raptors would eventually roll to an NBA title, knocking off the reigning MVP and defending champs in the process. Despite going on an outrageous run and having the option to never pay for a meal again in Toronto, Leonard still opted to sign with the LA Clippers in the offseason.
