Best Game 7 performances in NBA Playoffs history: 19. Nikola Jokic (2020)
Stat line:

The Denver Nuggets looked at the NBA landscape during the 2020 Playoffs and couldn’t understand why they couldn’t pull it off. Sure none of their players were household names but still, it just didn’t make sense as to why they couldn’t become NBA Champions. Although they ultimately failed to do so, they gave teams fits all year long.
After coming back from a 3-1 deficit against the Utah Jazz in the previous round, the Nuggets laughed as they were in the same predicament in round two against whom many were picking to win it all. Somehow, someway, the Nuggets found a way to take two games off the LA Clippers to push things to a Game 7. Despite their propensity to come back, pulling off another miraculous one seemed almost impossible. That is, until it actually happened.
Everyone contributed in a big way. Jamal Murray’s 40 points were insane but the stat line produced by Nikola Jokic seemed cartoonish. The European big man may have scored only 16 points but he grabbed an outrageous 22 boards. Jokic was also clearly the best passer that night, dishing out 13 assists. He even managed to register three blocks. It was a complete performance from Jokic as he placed the NBA on notice that the Denver Nuggets were no pushovers.
