What the NBA Finals mean for the Milwaukee Bucks: Jrue Holiday

Last offseason, the Bucks acquired coveted guard Jrue Holiday for the very reason of reaching the NBA Finals and contending for a title, something they weren’t able to fulfill the last few seasons with Eric Bledsoe at the point guard position, and the expectation has come into fruition in just his first year with the team. As he’s been a perfect complement to this squad, Holiday has been thankful to the Bucks for believing in him and putting him in this scenario to compete for a championship.

“I’ve been so blessed over the last couple of years with everything going on to be able to land in a spot like this to be able to fulfill my dream,” Holiday said after the Bucks punched their ticket to the NBA Finals. “It’s still sinking in and I’m trying to come down, but words can’t really describe it right now.”

This was Jrue Holiday’s first-ever conference finals this season, and now he’s about to play in his first-ever NBA Finals. It really is a dream come true for Holiday to currently be in this environment after not being able to compete for moments like these throughout his underrated career.
