Pistons who could be traded this offseason: 1. Mason Plumlee

The Pistons have one final trade candidate who may find himself in discussions this offseason. Mason Plumlee had a surprising and successful debut season in Detroit, and it may be time to parlay that prosperity in the trade market.

Plumlee had one of his best seasons, averaging 10.4 points, a career-best 9.3 rebounds and his 3.6 assists per game was the second-best of his career. He shot 61.4 percent from the floor and 66.9 percent from the free-throw line, and he competed hard on defense.

He also introduced a playmaking quality from the center position and an ability to set up teammates. Considering the mess the Pistons roster was at times during the season, his ability to produce scoring opportunities off the pass was a major benefit.

Plumlee also had one of the most hilarious streaks in Piston history, fouling out of four straight games, and five games in an eight-game span.

Now with Cade Cunningham (most likely) headed to Detroit via the NBA draft, his playmaking from the center spot may become redundant. If that’s how Weaver sees things, Plumlee could be destined to play elsewhere next season.
