Ranking NBA Draft classes from 1995-2020: 20. 2013

At the time of the draft, the 2013 class would have been one of the worst on this list. Their number one overall pick was audibly laughed at on the draft telecast and there was no real consensus. The second overall pick did not turn into an All-Star until he was on his third team. Even still, with two transcendent defensive players (including a two-time MVP) being drafted outside of the lottery the class rises just a bit.

Giannis Antetokounmpo with the 15th pick felt like a gamble at the time but he has grown into one of the best players in the world. Rudy Gobert, despite his playoff woes, is a three-time defensive player of the year. Victor Oladipo (the final All-Star from this class to date) has since taken a turn since injuries derailed his career.

The top 10 is mostly a disaster area, including Anthony Bennett, Otto Porter Jr., Cody Zeller, Alex Len, Ben McLemore and Trey Burke. That being said, there are still more potential All-Star selections on the horizon. CJ McCollum (number 10) was on track to make the team this season and if he finds himself on an Eastern Conference team next season the path gets easier. Tim Hardaway Jr. was a standout offensive talent for the Dallas Mavericks this season. Lower down the list, Steven Adams, Dennis Schroeder, Kelly Olynyk and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have all contributed to contenders.
