Ranking NBA Draft classes from 1995-2020: 25. 2003

The 2000 draft is considered one of the worst overall classes in the history of the league. Kenyon Martin was drafted first overall with a broken leg. He would go on to make a single All-Star appearance, in 2004, and would play for the Denver Nuggets, LA Clippers, New York Knicks and Milwaukee Bucks with career averages of 12.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.

The best player in the draft was selected 43rd overall. Michael Redd was something of a surprise coming out of Ohio State but he would make one All-Star Game as well and was also named to the only All-NBA team of this class. Redd played 11 seasons in Milwaukee and averaged 20.0 points on shooting splits of .447/.380/.840. He also won a Gold Medal with the Men’s National Team in 2008.

The only other All-Star in the 2000 draft was Jamal Magloire. Like Magloire, most of the rest of the notable names from this class were solid role players. Mike Miller was the Rookie of the Year and would go on to win championships with the Miami Heat. Jamal Crawford was a three-time Sixth Man of the Year. Hedo Turkoglu won the Most Improved Player award in 2008 and was a key member of the Eastern Conference Champion Orlando Magic in 2009. Quentin Richardson, DeShawn Stevenson and Eddie House all had moments throughout their career.
