Ranking NBA Draft classes from 1995-2020: 10. 2007

One year later, arguably the greatest number two pick of all time was made. Kevin Durant showed again during this postseason run with the Brooklyn Nets that he is one of the most elite offensive talents the league has ever seen. The debate at the time of the draft was real for a reason and Greg Oden, had he stayed healthy, may have moved this class up even further.

His college teammate, Mike Conley Jr., just made his first All-Star appearance this season but has long been deserving of the recognition. He helped raise the ceiling of the Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies to the level of title contender while being a consummate professional.  College teammates and top 10 picks Al Horford and Joakim Noah were two of the best defensive big men of their era and were backbones of title-contending teams in Atlanta, Boston and Chicago respectively. Marc Gasol was drafted in the second round and is going to find his way to the Hall of Fame as another transcendent defensive big man.

Jeff Green has tricked countless teams into the league to buy into his potential but will drop an amazing game on you when you least expect it (like in Game 5 this season against the Milwaukee Bucks). Arron Afflalo was solid for multiple teams and is the next player to start moving into ownership in the NBA. The draft is plenty about what could have been but being carried by possibly the best scoring forward of all time is enough for it to crack the top 10.
