18. . Small Forward. Boston Celtics. Deni Avdija. 14. player

The Boston Celtics originally drafted Vanderbilt shooting wing Aaron Nesmith, and he would not be a bad pick again in the redraft. Instead, the Celtics are going to take a player they didn’t have a chance to draft last time, Israeli forward Deni Avdija.

One of the best things going for Avdija is his self-confidence, the belief that he can score the winning basket and guard the opponent’s best player. On a Washington Wizards team flush with players who love having the ball and somewhat bereft of plus defenders, Avdija was able to step in and make an immediate impact as a defender and supporting offensive piece.

Avdija is probably not going to be good enough to be the top offensive option on a team, which means he has to build the other areas of his game; his outside shooting, cutting, etc. If he does, he could capture some of that high-level upside he still possesses.
