4. The Milwaukee Bucks don’t win this series without P.J. Tucker

Let’s take a moment and appreciate the sacrifice, hustle, and tenacity that P.J. Tucker has brought to the Milwaukee Bucks in this postseason. It’s safe to say that the Bucks don’t win Game 7, and this series, without the presence of Tucker.

There’s no questioning how large of an impact he had disrupting Durant for nearly every second he was on the floor during each game. Tuck’s defensive efforts were astounding and it was showcased once again on Saturday as he gathered three steals and two blocks. It was just incredible to watch.

In addition to his masterclass impact defensively, P.J. was an absolute monster on the glass, collecting four offensive rebounds, and the other aspects of his physicality and personality were all on full display. His effective communication, contagious intensity, relishing toughness, and endless energy affected the spirit of these Bucks on so many different levels. He’s been extremely valuable throughout the playoffs.

As previously written about, Tucker has filled a void that the Milwaukee Bucks have needed in years past. Acquiring him before this season’s trade deadline may have been the best addition that general manager Jon Horst has ever made during his tenure. Clearly, the versatile veteran will continue to push this team toward success with his vocal leadership, high motor, and influential efforts.
